As urologists, our physicians are highly trained to treat disorders of the male and female urinary tract (bladder, ureter, kidney, and urethra) and the male reproductive system. Our urologists have also received additional training in subspecialty areas including microsurgery (e.g., vasectomy, vasectomy reversal) and male reproductive medicine and surgery (e.g., male infertility, erectile dysfunction, vasectomy reversal).

Peter Burrows, M.D.

Dr. Peter Burrows is a board certified urologist who offers full spectrum urologic care. Dr. Burrows is the only fellowship-trained urologist in Southern Arizona specializing in testosterone replacement, impotency, Peyronies disease and male factor infertility. Dr. Burrows strives to maintain his connections to education and cutting edge technology and has been awarded academic appointments at both the University of Arizona as well as at USC/Keck School of Medicine serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor. These academic commitments complement his memberships in important medical societies including The American Urological Association, The Society of Reproductive Medicine, The American Society of Andrology, The Arizona Urological Society, and the AMA.
Dr. Burrows was raised in Los Angeles and earned his bachelors of Science from UCLA, graduating Cum Laude, and then attended Ohio State University College of Medicine, graduating with honors (AOA). He then completed his urologic surgery residency at USC + LA County Medical Center. He was chosen Resident of the Year by the USC College of Medicine in 1998. Dr. Burrows pursued his interest in male factor infertility, microsurgery and erectile dysfunctions by completing a clinical fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Baylor Medical Center in Houston. Dr. Burrows was recruited by Dr. Marks to join the International Center for Vasectomy Reversal in Tucson and also to create the Arizona Center for Vasectomy and Urology.

Sheldon Marks, M.D.

Sheldon Marks, M.D., is a microsurgical specialist and certified diplomate of the American Board of Urology, and is internationally recognized as the Director of the International Center for Vasectomy Reversal. He is also the founder of the Arizona Center for Vasectomy and Urology and works closely with Dr. Peter Burrows. He holds an appointment as adjunct assistant professor at Tufts University, School of Medicine and is clinical associate professor, Department of Surgery at the University of Arizona as well as clinical lecturer, Department of Radiation Oncology, College of Medicine at the University of Arizona.
Dr. Marks is a member of a number of national and international fertility and urologic societies, including the elite Society of Reproductive Surgeons, the American Society of Andrology, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction, the American Urologic Association, Societe d'Urologie Internationale, and the European Urology Association.
In addition to being an accomplished and well-respected microsurgeon, Dr. Marks' book, Prostate and Cancer: A Family Guide to Diagnosis, Treatment and Survival, (Fisher Books, 1995), now in its eleventh printing and 3rd fully revised edition, is the leading popular reference on the subject in America. The book is available worldwide in eight languages including Spanish, Hebrew, Mandarin, Czech, and Portuguese. Dr. Marks is also the men's health and male infertility specialist for WebMD, the #1 international website resource for health information and is frequently quoted in Bottom Line Personal and Bottom Line Health, in addition to being a medical resource for AP, UPI and numerous local, regional and national news affiliates.
Dr. Marks is only accepting new patients for vasectomy, vasectomy reversal, and second opinions for prostate cancer.

Dorothy Correia, N.P.
Dorothy comes to us after living in Ohio for 10 years. She is orginally from the San Francisco bay area but has been inTucson for over 2 years and now calls Arizona home.
Dorothy received her BSN in 1998 and her MS degree in 2004 from WRIGHT STATE UNIVERSITY in Ohio. She is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and has a background in Family Medicine. Dorothy joined Arizona Center for Vasectomy & Urology in March 2007 and loves her work in Urology.
Dorothy enjoys hiking and cycling around the Tucson area as long as it
is not over 100 degrees!
